Why we need Omega fatty acids
Since I became a distributor of Lifemax MILA miracle seed last year, and advertised the availability of this whole raw food in the Philippines, so many people have asked me how the chia seed is able to solve so many health problems– from slow metabolism, high bl0od pressure, cancer, heart failure, indigestion, arthritis, ADHD, and many illnesses that have arisen only since the 2nd half of the 2nd half of the 20th century.
I believe I can try to explain the answer simply, but from among the many medical practitioners that have decided to include chia is their patients’ diet, Dr. Mitchell Davis has done a great job to help the layman understand what and why Omega3s are important for everyone’s diet.
I am embedding his video (edited into 3 portions to minimize file size and ease up access) on Omega-3 here as my easy reference, and for hose who would rather get it directly from a medical practitioner.
THE IMPORTANCE OF OMEGA FATTY ACIDS
AND WHERE TO GET THEM
Why do we need Omega-3? (Source American Heart Association)
- American diet is severely deficient in Omega-3. Most Americans are getting only 5% of what they need on a daily basis.
- Heart disease is the #1 killer of all diseases and of Americans. And that’s because none of us are getting enough Omega-3s in our diet. In the healthiest heart societies in the world–in Iceland, in Alaska, the Indians– their diet is rich in fatty oils. They’re he healthiest hearts in the world
What do Omega fatty acids to
- reduce the inflammation. Omegas are like screens protecting the inner lining of the blood vessels from clots, from calcium, and from other things that cause blockages in the arteries
- have been shown to significantly reduce heart attacks by 60%. So people who have been already had heart attacks and put on Omega-3s, will have less tendency to have another heart attack.
- reduces the risk of stroke
- normalizes blood pressure
- lower Triglycerides (fats) in the blood by 26%
- reduce the risk of artherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries
- improves heart function and rhythm. The rhythm of the heart, sudden cardiac death, is when your heart suddenly stops, and protects against abnormalities in your heart
- improves nerve function and transmission
- improves energy level
- prevents dementia and other mental problems
- improves inflammatory markers in the blood. C-reactive protein is an inflammatory marker that measures how much inflammation goes on in your body. These C- anti-inflammatory proteins are high in any inflammatory disorder
The FDA states “Consumption of EPA and DHA Omega-3’s may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.” The ALA fatty acids break down into EPA and DHA needed by the body, thus more intake of ALA is good to increase the EPA and DHA in the body.
Mayo clinic says that the main benefit of Omega-3’s is the ability to reduce the risk of heart rhythm problems, thus reducing sudden cardiac death. In addition, Omega-3s may reduce triglycerides, lower blood pressure slightly, and reduce blot clotting.
Other scientifically-proven benefits of Omega-3s supplementation
- neurological development and function important in every cell membrane of the body, but especially important in the nerve cells.
- improve conditions of ADD/ADHD people with a calming effect
- resistance to depression, memory loss, concentration and dementia
- prevents inflamatory disorders — lupus, arthritis, SLE, fibromyalgia
- gastro-intestinal disorders — Irregular Bowel movement, bloating, constipation, reflux, GERD
WHY ARE WE DEFICIENT IN OMEGA-3S?
- we now eat basically have no omega-3s a or have not been fed with omega-3.
- we don’t eat as much fish as we should
- expensive
- mercury toxicity

As a board certified plastic surgeon, I am truly blessed to have one of the busiest cosmetic surgery practices in South Florida. My clientele comes not only from Florida, but from across the United States and all over the world. A virtual who’s who, our patient list includes super models and cover girls, playmates, celebrity actors and pro athletes, as well as people like you and me. My success is due in great part to my reputation, and as such, my reputation means everything to me. Over the years, I have been approached countless times to endorse and offer health care products ranging from vitamins and supplements to various antioxidants and juices. Until now, I have never promoted or endorsed any such products. Therefore, it was a very big decision when I decided to endorse Mila and to promote it to my patients, friends and family.
