Can’t help but be engrossed with the new free ebook available for download from this site. The Weight Loss Manual by Jon Rutledge became quite irresistable as I went through the contents page.
We know that our body’s metabolism is a major factor in our ability to keep or lose excess fat. “Metabolism is the process by which your body converts food into energy.” But how really does it work? Rutledge explains the process in the most understandable terms for medically-challenged individuals. And that’s why you need to download the ebook now.
Several key statements in the ebook impressed me with their truth.
(1) Losing weight is actually quite simple — eat less, exercise more. But most of us are quite resistant to that message.
(2) You do not have to go hungry to lose weight.
(3) One of the key factors for weight gain is an energy imbalance — consuming more calories than your body burns.
(4) Losing weight, like any task you undertake, requires dedication and motivation to succeed.
There are many more pages of valuable information you can learn or be reminded of in the ebook, so just download it now.
But the four statements above struck me as the ones that helped me lose 20 lbs in 4 months, when I decided to add Mila chia seed to my beverages, soup, salad, or any viand daily.
My first reaction was a noticeable increase in energy, perhaps due to the improved blood flow that brought the oxygen and the built-in nutrients in the chia seed to all parts of my body.
Two days later, I noticed very relieving elimination, that I actually felt lighter.
Then I noticed that I had been eating less during my meals, yet I was not going hungry. Chia seed contains an natural appetite suppressant, Tryptophan, and the seeds actually trap water in their microfibers, helping my stomach feel full longer. I even actually gave up my addiction to cola without trouble.
Finally at the end of the week, I thought of weighing myself. Surprise, I had actually lost 1 lb, a situation that I had been missing for more than a decade. That got me to seriously monitor my weight since. My weight loss balanced off at 20 lbs, but then that’s because i am exercising more to tone those areas that have actually lost so much fat, and now building muscle.
I continue to use Mila, and can actually see the other benefits of better skin tone, anti-aging, immunity to the common illnesses, and continued energy.
MILA chia seed is whole raw food with the highest and safest concentration of omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, fiber and phytonutrients anywhere on the planet. Read more about it in these pages and from the Lifemax Mila website.

Just wanted to let you know how much Mila has helped me after using it for only seven weeks.
I have suffered from severe dry eyes for some time and was using a prescription medication for over a year and a half. My eye would burn for 10 minutes after using it and I was still having dry eye problems. It was very painful – like the top layer had been peeled off of my eye. Since taking the Mila I have had no dry eye problems and have discontinued the medication.
I have also been using medicine to treat my Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) that didn’t seem to help very much. I thought that I just had to live with my symptoms and then along came Mila. After taking Mila for a week or two, I realized that I didn’t need my IBS medicine as much and that my IBS was not bothering me – and has not bothered me since then.
Last year, I bought three bottles of another Salvia hispanica L. seed because of their claim that it would help gastrointestinal problems. I used approximately two and a half bottles and then quit because I couldn’t tell any difference. What a difference Mila has made in my life!

The introduction of Mila has changed my life! I am a 46 year-old woman going through menopause. I have been doing my best to deal with the hot flashes and night sweats on my own without taking medication. After mentioning this to Dr. Mark Luckie, he suggested that I try Mila. Thank goodness he did! My symptoms are not even an issue now. I recommend this product to everyone! I have energy that I did not have and I feel 100% better!

I have received several requests for information about the mercury content of seafood. I am sharing here the report of one of the more recognized authorities, the US FDA.
Fish and shellfish are an important part of a healthy diet. Fish and shellfish contain high-quality protein and other essential nutrients, are low in saturated fat, and contain omega-3 fatty acids. A well-balanced diet that includes a variety of fish and shellfish can contribute to heart health and children’s proper growth and development. So, women and young children in particular should include fish or shellfish in their diets due to the many nutritional benefits.
However, nearly all fish and shellfish contain traces of mercury. For most people, the risk from mercury by eating fish and shellfish is not a health concern. Yet, some fish and shellfish contain higher levels of mercury that may harm an unborn baby or young child’s developing nervous system. The risks from mercury in fish and shellfish depend on the amount of fish and shellfish eaten and the levels of mercury in the fish and shellfish. Therefore, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are advising women who may become pregnant, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and young children to avoid some types of fish and eat fish and shellfish that are lower in mercury.

Of course, there are safer non-marine alternatives to obtain the valuable Omega-3, Omega-6, and Omega-9 (and in optimum ratio) — from Mila chia seeds, the miracle seed.
Almost 20 years of research by its rediscoverer Dr. Wayne Coates have proven that, on a gram per gram comparison, Mila chia seeds contain 8 times more Omega-3 than Atlantic salmon, without the fish taste nor the mercury content.

I have to admit that I was a skeptic, like most of my colleagues, when I was presented with yet another “supplement” to aid my treatment of patients and to add to their wellness and preventative medicine programs. However, the potential of a product with high source Omega-3 fatty acids intrigued me. I researched chia over the course of a few months and could find little, if any, fault with the science.
As a busy Family Practitioner, I am presented on a daily basis with patients with GI problems, arthritic complaints, menopausal symptoms, sleep disorders, weight issues, hypertension and elevated cholesterol. The treatment of these conditions are plagued by side effects and high cost. Mila has the potential to treat all of these conditions and more. The future of medicine is effective, low cost treatments with minimal side effects that will benefit preventative medicine programs. I honestly believe that Mila has a place in that future.
Early research has suggested that pregnant women given Omega-3 fatty acids have children with better eye-hand coordination and reach milestones earlier in life. Chia is safe in pregnancy and can be given to children without detrimental effect. Studies in the treatment of hyperlipidemia, attention deficit disorder, hypertension and weight loss are underway.
In addition, I am the medical director of a weight loss clinic and plan on offering Mila to patients as an adjunct to medication. Taken before meals, Mila absorbs 7 to 10 times its volume of liquid and gives a sensation of fullness.
On a personal note, since starting Mila, I find that I have more mental alertness, energy and sleep better. I suffer from chronic insomnia and typically only get 5 to 6 hours of sleep a night. The first week I took Mila, I overslept 3 days and was late to the office! I take Mila one hour prior to lunch and find my appetite significantly diminished with no afternoon hunger pangs.
I recommend Mila to anyone who wants to feel better and am working to get my local medical community on board!

OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS
MILA contains one of the highest, if not the highest, amounts of omega-3 fatty acids known in the plant world. In the 1970s and 1980s, the “fat-free diet craze took all the fats out of our diet, including the good ones. Now we know that impact that healthy fats have on our general well-being. The alpha linolenic fatty acid (ALA) found in Mila is known as the only essential omega-3 fatty acid. This means that a person must consume this fatty acid because the body cannot manufacture it. The fatty acids in MILA are a near perfect balance, plus there is no cholesterol.

FIBER
A number of studies have found that a high intake of total fiber contributes to a healthy heart and circulatory system. High-fiber diets may also modulate blood sugar levels. Since fiber is filling and has very few calories, high-fiber foods may also help with weight loss.
ANTIOXIDANTS & PHYTONUTRIENTS
These two components have recently been recognized as important to human health, but are not necessary for life. Interestingly, phytonutrients may act as antioxidants, but not all phytonutrients are antioxidants. Antioxidants in foods can be divided into two main groups, with similar, as well as different, benefits to human health. These two groups are Vitamins & minerals and Phenolic Compounds.
PROTEIN
Protein is found throughout the body in hair, nails, outer layers of skin, muscle tissue, the inner structure of bones, and red blood cells. Protein is used by the body to perform many functions in the body including building & repairing body tissues, hormone production & carrying nutrients throughout the body. MILA is a great source of protein and contains both essential and non-essential amino acids.

On a recent trip to Baguio City early this week, I got hold of the book “Home Remedies: A Guide to Symptoms and Cures”(WS Pacific Publications, Inc., Manila, Philippines, 2008).
I immediately started browsing through the colorfully designed book, and was amazed to discover that practically all the body ailments could be resolved through a wholefood diet.
Yes, health can be regained with a wholefood diet. It wasn’t uncommon to read statements such as: “Lifestyle advice would include a wholefood diet, and hydrotherapy ….” OR “A naturopathic practitioner would advice a wholeood diet, and periodic fruit or fruit-juice fasts …. ” OR “A wholefood diet, stress reduction …. ” for such ailments as
CYSTITIS RENAL COLIC HEAVY BLEEDING PAINFUL PERIOD MIGRAINES & TENSION HEADACHES MEMORY PROBLEMS DEPRESSION MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS (MS) EPILEPSY CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME COMPRESSED NERVE/SCIATICA STILL PAINFUL JOINTS BACKACHE OSTEOPOROSIS SPRAINS & STRAINS ACNE IMPETIGO RINGWORM & ATHLETE’S FOOT WARTS PSORIASIS PRICKLY HEAT HAIR PROBLEMS BRITTLE NAILS POOR HEARING MOTION SICKNESS ITCHY RED EYES IMMUNE DEFICIENCY OVERWEIGHT ASTHMA ECZEMA EARACHE ADHD
This, by no means, is this a complete list of ailments that can be relieved, resolved and “cured” by a wholefood diet, coupled with other naturopathic measures. But it’s enough to convince me to consciously take on a more natural approach to my lifestyle and diet.
More fruits and vegetables, fresh juices, grains, foods high in essential nutrients, and lots of water to keep the body hydrated, and to balance off the junk that I’ve been feeding my body.
